The UIG is a UK based group which is run by unpaid volunteers who are sufferers of uveitis. The Uveitis Information Group was set up in April 1998 in response to a recognition by the consultants at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary that there was very little information being produced for patients. It was considered that there was both a demand and a need for a good source of patient information and support. It's aims are:
The group provides information in the form of leaflets and fact sheets to anyone who contacts the group. Newsletters are provided to subscribers of the UIG about 2-3 times a year in printed form or via the web site (see newsletters). Enquiries by telephone, post or e-mail for information and support are welcomed. To also find out about joining the UIG as a subscriber please contact the group (see top of page).
